Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
Advocate Studio is a brand of Blashton LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company that also operates Advocate 1917 (collectively, “Advocate Studio,” “we,” “our,” “us”). Advocate Studio and Advocate 1917 share ownership, operations, and a single set of privacy and communications practices. We value your privacy and are committed to safeguarding the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your data when you interact with our website, services, and communications as a prospect, client, or partner of Advocate Studio.
A note for end-customers of our clients. Where Advocate Studio operates messaging, care-sequence, or speed-to-lead infrastructure on behalf of an agency client (for example, follow-up emails or text reminders sent on a wedding photographer's, attorney's, or home-services business's behalf to that client's own customers), we do so as a service provider to the client and under that client's privacy policy. End-customer data we process on behalf of a client is governed by the client's privacy policy, not this one. Contact the client directly for questions about that data, or contact us using the information in Section 13 and we will route you appropriately.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, mailing or billing address, business information, and other details you provide when booking appointments, requesting proposals, contacting us, or subscribing to our communications.
- Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, time and date stamps, and website navigation behavior.
- Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to improve user experience, analyze traffic, and measure ad performance.
- Third-Party Data: Information provided by partners (for example, advertising platforms, analytics providers, or social networks) in connection with our services.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected data to:
- Deliver digital marketing, consulting, and creative services.
- Communicate with you regarding projects, campaigns, and updates.
- Send promotional and educational content if you have opted in.
- Provide appointment reminders, project updates, and client support via SMS and email.
- Analyze site traffic and optimize campaigns.
- Maintain legal compliance and prevent fraud.
3. SMS Communications and Mobile Information
By providing your mobile phone number to Advocate Studio — through our website, a form, an inquiry, or a written request — you consent to receive recurring text messages from us at the number provided.
- Types of messages: Appointment reminders, project and campaign updates, transactional notifications, customer-support replies, and (where you have separately opted in) promotional or educational content.
- Message frequency: Varies by the nature of your engagement; typically a small number of messages per week or per project milestone.
- Carrier disclosure: Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from further SMS communications. You may also email info@advocate1917.com.
- Help: Reply HELP to any message, or email info@advocate1917.com, for assistance.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information described in this policy exclude SMS opt-in data and consent records; that information will not be shared with any third party for any purpose other than supporting the delivery of the messages you opted into (for example, our text-messaging service provider acting solely as our processor).
3.1 Care-layer SMS and email
Separately from transactional SMS sent under our own brand, Advocate Studio operates a care layer that sends SMS and email updates (planning checklists and resources, reminders, and updates about the services a person engaged) to people who opt in. Recipients are the customers of the businesses Advocate Studio works with. If you opted into care updates, the data flow is:
- You provided your contact information and consented on the Advocate Studio-hosted consent page at https://www.advocate-studio.com/care, by actively checking the consent box.
- Advocate Studio stores your information for the sole purpose of delivering the care updates you opted into.
- Every message is sent by and identified as Advocate Studio: email from “Advocate Studio” <hello@advocate-studio.com>, and SMS from a single number registered to Blashton LLC.
- Advocate Studio does not use your mobile information for any purpose beyond delivering the messages you opted into, and does not share it with any third party other than processors required to deliver the message (for example, the underlying SMS carrier).
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out, HELP for help. Once you text STOP, Advocate Studio will not send further care-layer SMS to your number until you explicitly re-opt-in.
3.2 Agency-client onboarding SMS programs
Advocate Studio runs two business-to-business SMS programs that agency clients (wedding photographers, attorneys, home-services operators, auto repair shops, and similar small-business operators) enroll into separately. Each program is registered as its own carrier (A2P 10DLC) campaign and carries its own web-form opt-in CTA. Authorization for one does not constitute authorization for the other.
- Speed-to-lead. SMS notifications when a new lead is captured on the agency client's website. Opt-in URL: https://www.advocate-studio.com/onboarding/speed-to-lead. Verbatim consent text and the four registered sample messages are documented in our Terms of Service, Section 7.1.
- Care layer. Operational SMS triggered by events in the agency client's care-layer dashboard — lead replies, GHL status syncs, review-request triggers, scheduled-touch alerts, and pivot-date confirmation flags. Opt-in URL: https://www.advocate-studio.com/onboarding/care-layer. Verbatim consent text and registered sample messages are documented in our Terms of Service, Section 7.3.
Audit trail. Each form submission writes a row to our compliance database (Neon Postgres, onboarding_consents table) capturing the exact disclosure text shown, the form URL, the submitting IP and user agent, individual checkbox states, the consent version, and a per-submission reference ID. Records are retained for as long as the recipient's account is active. Subsequent opt-outs (including STOP-keyword replies routed through our SMS processor) are appended as additional rows so the full opt-in/opt-out history is preserved.
No third-party sharing. The same no-third-party-sharing commitment described in Section 3 applies to these programs. Mobile information collected through these programs is used solely to deliver the messages the recipient opted into; it is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
4. Email Communications
By providing your email address, you consent to receive newsletters, project communications, marketing content, and client updates from Advocate Studio. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing info@advocate1917.com. Transactional and project communications may continue while you are an active client.
5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Vendors, contractors, and platforms that assist in delivering our services — for example, analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, advertising platforms, messaging providers, and email delivery providers. These parties are bound to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
- Legal Requirements: When required to comply with laws, regulations, subpoenas, or court orders, or to enforce our agreements.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the acquirer will be subject to the same obligations under this policy.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share SMS opt-in data or consent records with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes (see Section 3).
6. Cookies and Third-Party Tools
We use cookies and third-party analytics and advertising tools (including Google Analytics, Meta Ads, and similar platforms) to measure engagement and improve targeting. We also use Microsoft Clarity, a session-analytics tool that records anonymized browsing sessions (clicks, scrolls, and page interactions) and generates heatmaps that help us improve the site experience. You may control cookie preferences through your browser settings, and you can opt out of optional analytics and marketing cookies at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the site footer. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
8. Security
We implement reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to protect personal data. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access and request a copy of your personal data.
- Request corrections or updates.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Opt out of marketing communications.
To exercise your rights, contact us at info@advocate1917.com.
10. International Data Transfers
If you access our services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adult business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
12. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on our website with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
